# 14 forces of light 14.-23.11.2008

Forces of Light will be held in November already for the 14th time. This year the festival presents 10 light works and projects, plus two sub-events. 'Forces of Light' maintains the tradition of the festival, by producing light installations, illuminations, fire circus and a community arts project. Light-based artworks are placed on everyday spots, the places and routes of Helsinki inhabitants. By doing this we want to emphasize that there is something new to discover in the dark and rainy city, too.

The Forces of Light festival has carried out almost 500 projects, with hundreds of artists and city inhabitants, since 1995.  It aims to explore the possibilites of art and the artist working in public space and with communities.
