"Valon Voimat is an integrated development, in which a variety of factors come together: economic, environmental, social and cultural - and is at once an example of the concept of cultural planning in action, a tourist attraction and a holistic approach to light. Almost any setting serves as a venue for the festival, from shops and galleries to streets, parks and museums, even factories and construction sites. Today the festival not only generates a whole series of local project, but also attracts international collaboration -- as well as acting as a brand-name for Helsinki."
