Jukka Silokunnas: Youth stoppers

Installation, Telakkakatu 8

Pigeon spikes are familiar way to stop pigeons nesting and loitering in some areas of the buildings. Pigeon stoppers are not the only stopper you come across when you walk the streets, speed pumps, grind stoppers and other stuff like those are made for preventing unwanted behavior.

Youth spikes are same as pigeon stoppers only bigger because they are for humans. Stoppers will be placed some place where youth like to hang out like benches, window boards and such. Some lights can also be added in the background making the spikes even more effective.
