If you’re backpacking Europe on a budget then you’ll probably stay in hostels. Luckily, there are thousands in hostels throughout the continent but it’s not surprising that some are not great. That’s why I always use Hostelworld when I want to review and book hostels. Hostelworld is my favorite booking site because it is the largest booking site so it has a ton of reviews from past travelers.

LAN Airlines is hands down my favorite airline in South America. If you didn’t know LAN is based out of Chile and they have just begun a massive expansion strategy.
They have three affiliates; LAN Argentina, LAN Ecuador, and LAN Peru, that operate in those countries respectively.

Hotwire
Hotwire is a leading discount travel site with low rates on airline tickets, hotel rooms, rental cars and vacation packages.
Since the year 2000 Hotwire has been negotiating deep discounts from its travel partners to help travelers book unsold airline seats, hotel rooms and rental cars at significant savings.
Hotwire.com, the online travel site, started when six airlines, including American, United and Continental, secretly raised $75 million dollars from investors to start a company to sell their unbooked seats that were formerly sold through Priceline.
Like Priceline, you have to make your purchase blind for flights and hotels; you won’t know the airline, routing or exact time of your flight; or the name and address of your hotel, until after you pay.
